Church bulletins, done for you

Email us your notes. Get a finished, print-ready bulletin back.

Send what changed this week: hymns, readings, announcements, the prayer list. We turn it into a clean, consistent bulletin in your church's style, ready to print on your office printer.

No credit card for the trial. Software builds every bulletin and checks it before it reaches you.

For Publisher users

Microsoft Publisher is gone. Your bulletin doesn’t have to be.

With Microsoft Publisher retired this October, many church offices are looking for a new way to make the weekly bulletin. With The Bulletin Office, you don’t need any software at all: email us your notes each week and get a finished, print-ready bulletin back.

Send us your last bulletin and we’ll rebuild it as your template for free. If you can still open the Publisher file, save it as a PDF first. If you can’t, a scan or a photo of a printed copy works too.

How it works

Three steps, every week

You keep doing what you already do: gather the week’s details. We do the layout, the formatting, and the double-checking.

1

Send your notes

Email [email protected] by Wednesday at noon. Write it however you like: a quick list, a forwarded message, or “same as last week except…”.

Hymns: #326, 475, 306 Add Harold Beecher to prayer list Keep the stewardship announcement
2

We build and check it

Our software lays it out in your style and runs it through automated proofreading and accuracy checks. A bulletin that fails a check is fixed before it goes out. If something’s missing, we ask you instead of guessing.

3

Print and fold

By Thursday evening you get a print-ready PDF plus a reading copy to email or post. Need a change? Reply, and we’ll send a corrected copy.

Sample bulletins

Three styles to start from

Each is set up once with your church’s name, service times, staff, colors, and hymnal numbers. After that, only the weekly details change.

Automated, and checked every week

Software does the busywork, then checks its own work.

We’re upfront about it: software reads your notes and builds the bulletin. Before anything reaches you, every bulletin runs through automated proofreading and accuracy checks. One that fails a check is fixed before it goes out, and you can reply to any bulletin to ask for a correction.

  • The right SundayThe date matches the coming Sunday, and weekdays match their dates (“Friday, Nov. 7” is caught if Nov. 7 is a Saturday).
  • Scripture done carefullyEvery reference must exist. Verse text is printed from a public-domain Bible file, never typed by hand.
  • Nothing left overNo “TBD”, no last week’s sermon title, no event that already happened.
  • It still fitsEvery page is checked so nothing runs off the page or shrinks too small to read.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can you print the words to our songs?

Public-domain hymns (in the U.S., generally those published before 1931, which covers most classic hymns) can be printed in full. Newer and licensed worship songs are listed by title and CCLI song number only. We don’t print their lyrics, even if your church has a license. If your church holds a CCLI license and wants lyrics printed, that copying is under your license, so your office should add them.

Is our prayer list kept private?

Your prayer list is used for one thing: printing your bulletin. We don’t sell it, share it, or use it for marketing. It’s processed by our automated systems, and the owner looks at it only when needed for support or a correction. Tell us if names should be first-name-only or left off the emailed copy, and we’ll do that every week. When you cancel, we delete your church’s files on request. See our Privacy Policy.

What if there’s a mistake?

Reply to the email with the fix, and we’ll send a corrected PDF. If a mistake was ours and it reached your printed bulletin, tell us. That week is free.

Can we cancel anytime?

Yes. There’s no contract. Cancel by email whenever you like; you won’t be charged again. Yearly plans can be cancelled too, with a refund for the full months left.

Is it really automated? Who reads our email?

Yes. Software reads your notes, builds the bulletin, and runs automated proofreading and accuracy checks on every one. A bulletin that fails a check is fixed before it goes back to you. If something in your email is unclear, we ask instead of guessing, and you can reply to any bulletin to request a correction.

What do we need to send each week?

Just what’s new: sermon title, readings, hymns (numbers are fine), announcements, prayer list changes, and the week’s calendar. Everything else carries over from last week.

I made our bulletin in Publisher. Can you match it?

Yes. If you can still open the file in Publisher, save it as a PDF (File > Save As, then choose PDF) and email it to us. If you can’t open it anymore, send us any past PDF of your bulletin, or a scan or clear photo of a printed copy, and we’ll rebuild it in the closest of our styles. PDFs are quickest; scans and photos take a little longer. You don’t need Publisher or any other software after that: you just email your notes each week. Get your free template.

Can it look like the bulletin we use now?

Usually, yes. Send us a recent bulletin and we’ll match its order of worship and details in the closest of our styles. We don’t copy clip art or images we don’t have rights to. If you send us your own logo, we’ll use it.

What printer do we need?

Any printer that prints two-sided on letter paper. The folded bulletin comes already arranged in booklet order: print two-sided, “flip on short edge”, at actual size, then fold.
